Project Introduction:
When I made this Jewelry shopping app for myself because my fiancé and I are planning for purchasing a pair of wedding rings this winter. And I was curious about the process of collecting data, building database and making a wedding ring shopping app on my own. This is a Progressive Web App, and it was made on a no-code design tool called Adalo which can present live data.

Role: UI Designer, Progressive Web App Builder
Task: Collect data, build database, and design user interfaces
Client: People who are like my fiancé and me that are preparing for getting married and need to purchase wedding rings.
Problem: Learned how to build a database in a no-code design tool and connect them with relationships
Date & Duration: December 2022
App Feature 1: Location Search
Considered with security issues, this app only provides jewelry with pick up services. The users can input their location by searching the keyword via Google Maps API.
App Feature 2: Live Data
When the user is browsing the product, the price and rate data are pulled up from the database.
After the user click on "Purchase," the app will automatically create an order in the database. The system will help the user to set up their pick up. It will recommend a pick up location based on the location in the user's profile.
After the user selected their pick up location and date, the app will update the data of the order in the database, and the product name and pick up date will show up in the following pages.
Reflection
The difficulties: This is my second project working on a no-code design tool. The biggest difficulty was that there was no coach beside me to help me troubleshoot. I had encountered a lot of times that the data didn't show up on the screens, and I had adjusted my setting for many times to figure out what's going on.
Main takeaway: Trust myself that I can troubleshoot on my own and never give up.
What I would do differently: If I more time for this project, I will try to add more information on "My Order" page, like adding the price and pick up location. That means pulling more data from the database, and means costing more time. But it worth to try.
